KVIS Makes Bus Trip to Trader Joe’s Cleveland, OH Available

KENMORE, NY – The Kenmore Village Improvement Society (KVIS) is hosting a day trip to Trader Joe’s Cleveland location on Saturday, November 5th as part of their ongoing initiative to encourage the merchant to set up shop in the Village of Kenmore. The bus will depart at 9:00 a.m. from the Village.
Trader Joe’s is known across the country for its unique food and beverage items. “KVIS is happy to provide this one of a kind shopping experience to the residents of our community,” says Melissa Foster, President and founder of the KVIS.
Tickets are $30 each (lunch not included). Check or money order can be made payable to the Kenmore Village Improvement Society and forwarded to KVIS, C/O: Edward Jones Investments, 2954 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, NY 14217. Seating is limited. Tour of Kenmore Homes Film Premier

KENMORE, NY – The Kenmore Village Improvement Society (KVIS) will show a brief film, called Tour of Kenmore Homes, on Saturday, October 22nd at 8:00 p.m. at Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Road (at Delaware Rd.) The premier is open to the public at no charge as part of the Society’s ongoing initiative to promote the Village of Kenmore.

The 30 minute virtual tour was shot on location by the KVIS at the homes of Village residents and features the interiors of many different styles of homes and scenes of the community. “The film will be a powerful marketing tool used to show the Village of Kenmore as a very fine place to live,” says Melissa Foster, President and founder of KVIS.

Library Friends “Big Book Sale” now at Lincoln Arena!

Annual Friends of the Ken-Ton Library used book sale to benefit the Town of Tonawanda libraries will be September 8, 9 and 10th at Lincoln Park Arena, corner Parker Blvd. and Decatur Rd.

Doors open Thursday, Sept 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Shop an estimated 7,000 book titles, including mysteries, popular fiction, biography and history, cookbooks, childrens books and collectibles! DVDs and CDs, videos are also available.


Prices range from 25 cents to $2 for most items. Special collector volumes will be appropriately priced.

All proceeds benefit the Tonawanda Public Libraries. Please mark your calendars now to come support our library.

WIVB: Dog Days celebrates four-legged friends

KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) – What better time than the dog days of summer to celebrate our four-legged friends?

The Kenmore Village Improvement Society celebrated ‘Dog Days’ this weekend in Mang Park. Activities included a microchip clinic, agility and fly ball demonstrations, pet photography and an animal blessing. Money raised in contest entries go to benefit Black Dog Second Chance, a no-kill rescue group.
