Kenmore Children's Concert Series

The 2011 Children’s Concert Series will be five weeks of Tuesday evening fun! Our selection of performers this year are sure to please the young, those young at heart, and everyone in between! The concerts are FREE! Affordable dinner items like Pizza, Beverages including juice, soda, coffee, and water will be available as well as popcorn and some Delicious Dessert items.

Tuesday Evenings July 12 – August 9, 6:15 PM
Lawn of Kenmore Middle School (Delaware Rd. across from the Library)
or Kenmore United Methodist Church gymnasium in case of rain.

  • July 12: Ross Nickerson World Renown Banjo Player and the X Train
    Big Bluegrass Bandana Opener! Free bandana to the first 100 children attending!
  • July 19: Johann Strauss Orchestra
    The beautiful music of the Waltz King! Professional dancers will teach the waltz at 6:00 pm
    and will lead the dancing on the lawn when the concert begins. Buffalo Sabres Sabre Tooth
    will be there to dance with the children and parents too.
  • July 26: Gordon Highlanders
    Drums, Pipes, kilts, and flags. Children can make and decorate oatmeal and
    coffee can drums and play along! Scottish dancers will perform and teach
    some Celtic dances!
  • August 2: Caribbean Extravaganza
    Steel drums, singing, and more while those attending do the limbo dance!
  • August 9: Buffalo Swing Band
    Kenmore will really swing with the band that made the sound track for the movie, “The Natural.”
    Big Band Swing at it’s very best! Face painting, balloon art and more for this Series finale!
