The Northtown Subaru Dog Days of Kenmore will be held Sunday, June 23rd from noon to 4:00 pm in Mang Park.
This free event, presented by the Kenmore Village Improvement Society includes live music by Creek Bend Band, more than 50 dog-related vendors, K-9 and other demonstrations, clinics, and more. Contests will include dog/owner look alike, best costume, and best trick. Our guest judge this year will be Senator Mark Grisanti, a well-known animal advocate. Food from Buffalo Lloyd Taco Truck and Amy’s truck, as well as other food will be available for sale.
“Everyone should save the date for this very heart warming, meaningful, and fun event,” said KVIS President Melissa Foster, “Come for lunch and plan to stay for contests, demonstrations, dog vendors, and new this year, a dog parade.”
Leading the parade for the canine social event of the season will be Phoenix, the small jack russell terrier known for his miraculous recovery from severe burns in late 2012. Now a foster dog, it was announced this week that he will become a therapy dog.
